Vodafone Spain launches AD supported mobile video with Rhythm NewMedia

Rhythm Delivers Mobile Video to Over Four Million Customers

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., November 19, 2007 - Rhythm NewMedia today announced a deal with Vodafone Spain to deliver personalized ads to Vodafone Spain’s over four million 3G subscribers. The new advertising service is to be used by the 10 leading Spanish brands participating in the four month long “Vodafone Spain Mobile Marketing Discovery Program”, that has just been announced.

Through this deal, breaking news, weather, horoscopes, sports highlights and celebrity news highlights will be available for the first time ever to Vodafone subscribers with a completely ad-funded model.  Vodafone selected Rhythm for its experience in mobile video and its ability to offer an end to end ad-funded solution, speed to market and a patent-pending system for measuring customer satisfaction and ad effectiveness.

“We see this service growing rapidly as subscribers watch and demand more and more video on their mobiles. We’re excited to work with Rhythm to provide short video clips to our customers, completely free of charge,” said Inaki Cabrera Head of Mobile Marketing Business Unit at Vodafone Spain.

Rhythm’s patent-pending ad system uses anonymous data based sophisticated targeting to personalize ads, creating a more engaging experience for Vodafone customers. This seamless integration and personalization leads to greater viewer satisfaction. Rhythm makes it easier to monitor viewing frequency more accurately and track campaign success rates through its patent pending technology.
